Block Island, RI

I'm back from another New England adventure! This past weekend I traveled via ferry to Block Island. A quick ride from New London, CT and you end up on an island off the coast of Rhode Island in pretty much paradise. Block Island was so beautiful and full of adventure and so many things caught my eye!Within minutes of stepping off the ferry I was on a bike cruising around the cute little town. Along with bikes, you can rent mopeds and even jeep's to take around the island and sightsee all day. A few miles along ride and I got to Mohegan's Bluff, which is a hidden beach and look out spot high up over the ocean. There were endless things to do here it was almost hard to choose! After the bike ride it was time to stroll into the cute shops and take in the gorgeous views of the ocean. This island  definitely is an awesome place to spend a day or a weekend at, and is full of unique RI charm. During the day I wore a comfy Lilly Pulitzer tee and some white pants. I felt so beachy and at home wearing this on the island. I paired it with my Jack Rogers and a slouchy beach bag!

Southern Shirt

Some of my favorite things to wear in the summer are comfy t-shirts and tank tops over my swim suits. These shirts and tanks are my go-to items in my bag if i'm out by the pool or taking a trip to the beach.

Southern Shirt Company has definitely caught my eye with their bright colored tops and beachy style. Their styles range from tank tops to long sleeved sweatshirts.

Lately I've had one on everyday of the week while i've been out in the sun. I paired them with either jean shorts or athletic shorts and even just over my bathing suit as a quick cover up! I can't wait to add more colors and styles to my collection.

Never Enough Nautical

Never Enough Nautical

This look is inspired by the cute town of Kennebunkport, ME. It's small town charm and location right on the ocean makes for a place you'll never want to leave. I spent this sunny day in and out of shops, stopping for a bite to eat, and grabbing an ice cream cone.

Nothing beats a navy and white striped cotton summer dress. I got this dress last summer at Forever21 (link is to some other nautical pieces) and it's definitely held up for only costing me $20. It's so comfortable and the sleeves are cut at 3/4 length so it's perfect for a breezy day on the water.

Not only was this dress a bargain, but the shoes were just $29 (and now on SALE for $22!). I had just recently got them at Target, maybe a week ago and the quality blew me away. The best part about the shoes are that they are SO comfortable. I walked around town for hours and didn't feel the need to rip them off.

Memorial Day in Maine

Memorial Day in Maine

For this Memorial Day I went to Maine for the whole weekend with my family. Maine is special because this is still where I consider my home to be. I spent 16 years in Maine until I went to college and recently moved to CT. Our first stop was in Kennebunkport, and we headed right to the ocean. The sun was setting just as we got there; making for a picture perfect view.

Friday at Kennebunkport I wore a Vineyard Vines pull over in a bright pink coral color and navy shorts from J. Crew The shorts from J. Crew, believe it or not were only $20! (The link to them is right there!) They of course are from the factory website where everything is at an affordable price. (My favorite) My shoes were a pair of Tory Burch flip flops in white and gold that I got on Nordstrom Rack for almost HALF the price! Don't forget to check Nordstrom rack for one time deals like this!

This look was so comfortable and was perfect for the chilly ocean breeze!
